With glass, I am fascinated by its purity and clarity.
My designs are the result of my fascination with the material I have been working with for several years: crystal glass. I suggest straight cuts based on a line that I often break and bend. They underline the shape of the products and give them character. The minimalist cut lines are, in their simplicity, a negation of the traditional decoration and rich ornamentation from your grandmother’s wall unit.
I try to disenchant these heavy, difficult-to-wash vessels and make them light and graceful. They can then be used on a daily basis as containers for cakes, nuts, or maybe as a vase for wild flowers. There are many crystal vessels in my kitchen. I like to see them shine in the light, I like their sonority and softness of touch.
